The Rencontres Internationales Paris/Berlin invites you to discover its new programme in Paris from 18 to 24 November 2024, with free admission, through an original itinerary between several venues, including the Jeu de Paume, Gaîté Lyrique, CWB Paris, Fiminco Foundation and other venues. The public will be able to attend screenings – 90% of films in French, European and international premieres, cartes blanches, special screenings, thematic screenings –, performances, a VR programme, panel discussions and a forum bringing together artists, researchers, art centre and museum directors, who will share their experience and their thoughts on the new audiovisual practices and their stakes.

The Rencontres Internationales Paris/Berlin invites you to discover its new programme in Berlin from 9 to 14 April 2024 at the Haus der Kulturen der Welt, with free admission. Screenings, temporary exhibitions, performances, VR experiences and discussions; the programme brings together 152 works from 52 countries by internationally renowned artists alongside emerging artists and young filmmakers presented for the first time.
Among the highlights are recent or new works by Monira Al Qadiri (Kuwait), Sandro Aguilar (Portugal), Jonathas de Andrade (Brazil), Egle Budvytyte (Lithuania), Esther Bots (Netherlands), Jasmina Cibic (Slovenia), Eli Cortiñas (Spain), Stéphane Dégoutin and Gwenola Wagon (France), Elisa Giardina Papa (Italy), Kevin Jerome Everson (USA), Jane Jin Kaisen (Denmark, South Korea), François Knoetze, Russel Hlongwane and Amy Louise Wilson (South Africa), Angelica Mesiti (Australia), Bill Morrison (USA), Lubanzadyo Mpemba (Angola), Natacha Nisic (France), Mario Pfeifer (Germany), Sattar Reetu (Bangladesh), Ben Rivers and Céline Condorelli (United Kingdom), Riar Rizaldi (Indonesia), Lina Siib (Estonia), Isabell Spengler (Germany), and many others.

For the second year, an international jury will award a grant to one of the artists in the programme. The Moving Image Art Prize will be awarded to a unique work in the field of moving images.

The Rencontres Internationales Paris/Berlin invites you to discover its new programme in Berlin from 16 to 21 August 2022 at the Haus der Kulturen der Welt, with free admission. Screenings, temporary exhibitions, performances, VR experiences and discussions; the programme brings together 128 works from 43 countries by internationally renowned artists alongside emerging artists and young filmmakers presented for the first time.
Among the highlights are new or recent works by Rosa Barba (Italy), George Drivas (Greece), Dora García (Spain), Tamar Guimaraes (Brazil, Germany), Cécile Hartmann (France), Francois Knoetze and Amy Louise Wilson (South Africa), Daniel Kötter (Germany), Filip Markiewicz (Luxembourg), Natacha Nisic (France), Simon(e) Jaikiriuma Paetau (Colombia), Leighton Pierce (USA), Laure Prouvost (France, Belgium), Rajee Samarasinghe (Sri Lanka), John Smith (United Kingdom), Joëlle Tuerlinckx (Belgium), Wendelien van Oldenborgh (Netherlands, Germany), and many others.

The Rencontres Internationales Paris/Berlin invite you to discover their new programme in Paris from 2 to 8 May 2022, with free admission. This year's programme will be held in several venues: the Beaux-arts de Paris, the Louvre auditorium, the Centre Pompidou, the Galerie rue Française, the Centre Wallonie-Bruxelles, and the Goethe-Institut. The public will be able to attend screenings – 90% of films in French, European and international premieres, cartes blanches, special screeningsthematic screenings –, performances, a VR programme, tow exhibitions panel discussions and a forum bringing together artists, researchers, art centre and museum directors, who will share their experience and their thoughts on the new audiovisual practices and their stakes.
Many highlights will punctuate this week. These include the first retrospective in France of short and medium-length films by Apichatpong Weerasethakul (Thailand), Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival in 2021, and a carte blanche to Dara Birnbaum (USA), the unmissable video pioneer who created the iconic "Technology/Transformation: Wonder Woman". Among the 118 works presented this year are recent or new works by Barba, George Drivas, Tamar Guimaraes, Salomé Lamas, Ariane Loze, Natacha Nisic, Laure Prouvost, John Smith, Zapruder, and many others.
The full list of artists and the detailed programme will be announced in early April 2022.

We look forward to seeing you in Berlin from 26-30 August for a hybrid version of the Rencontres Internationales Paris/Berlin, both at the Haus der Kulturen der Welt and online! Entirely free access, this new edition offers an exceptional programme, with artists from all over the world.

Highlights include: a carte blanche for Pedro Costa, a special session with Shelly Silver, the German premiere of Rosa Barba's "Aggregate States of Matters" and a talk by Ubermorgen on the notion of hybridization. "Hybridization" could be the subtitle of this 2020 edition, as this notion runs through the whole of the programming, both in its form, in a physical place and online, and through the approaches and questioning of the artists taking part.
