Berlin 2026 programme

Forum

Throughout the festival, during the screening sessions or at dedicated moments, the invited artists answer questions from the audience and from the two co-curators in charge of the programme.

Following the Q&A sessions and discussions with the artists during the screenings, two dedicated events are offered this year, on 6 and 7 June at silent green, in the foyer of the Betonhalle.

Artist talks
Saturday 6 June, 2pm
Sunday 7 June, 2pm

Alongside the discussions with the artists, we also invite you to attend a panel discussion bringing together three exhibition curators and programmers.

This panel discussion, on Saturday 6 June at 4pm in Cinema 2, will be an opportunity to address together the question "Will museums and contemporary art centres disappear?"

Panel discussion
Saturday 6 June, 4pm

The invited artists present their work and research, and bear witness to the state of their artistic practice in countries sometimes in transition or undergoing profound transformations.

The Rencontres Internationales thus seek to reflect the specificities and convergences of artistic practices between new cinema and contemporary art, to explore emerging artistic forms and their critical perspectives, and to make space for the necessary moment when viewpoints meet and exchange.
