A donkey loaded with whitewashed stones climbs to the top of a mountain ; on the heights of the hillside, masses of these stones trace in gigantic letters three words, very famous in Morocco as they constitue the last line of the national anthem «Allah Alwatan, Almalik» («God, Country, King»). The violence of this Trinitarian figure, devouring the landscape and overlooking men, is revealed in highlighting the brutal archaism of its «back-world» : the labor of the donkey that brought it into being. This installation questions the perpetuation of an established order that ignores the suffering of those who have no voice, be they animals or men.
