¡¶What ¡· The "what", is my first Video works. Since 1986, I was a photographer and I`ve been travelling different small city in China 1993-1998, I shooting a lot of black and white photographs , During that period, I also use a Hi8 camera casually shooting something.The piece material of "what" all from that Hi8 camera. In fact, I did not think of the future to put them into a film editing. There is just some messy, about some of China`s cities and towns. The middle of 2012, I was opened these Hi8 tapes, I start editing the material, and I hope they become a movie. I don`t want some subjective intervention into the "what", I hope it is messy, I hope it is messy, fury, in a disorderly daily style, commemorate my trip. This movie only made of my own, have not other people involved, music also by me.
