Entre 1973 et 1975, il étudie la peinture aux Beaux-Arts d'Athènes (Asks.) Puis, de 1975 à 1980, il étudie la gravure et la réalisation expérimentale aux Beaux-Arts de Braunschweig en Allemagne. Entre 1980 et 1983, il enseigne la lithographie et la typographie aux Beaux-Arts de Braunschweig. Depuis 1989 il est professeur titulaire de gravure à l'université Hildesheim d'Hanovre. Michalis Arfaras wurde 1954 in Athen geboren. Zwischen 1973 und 1975 studierte er Malerei an der Kunsthochschule in Athen (Asks). Danach studierte er zwischen 1975 und 1980 Gravierkunst und experimentelle Filmkunst in Braunschweig in Deutschland. Zwischen 1980 und 1983 unterrichtete er Lithographie und Typographie an der Kunsthochschule in Braunschweig. Seit 1983 ist er ordentlicher Professor für Gravierkunst an der Universität Hildesheim in Hannover. Michalis Arfaras was born in Athens in 1954.
