The Snowhite project begun in Paris in November 2002, and has evolved
around videos and interventions. White Snow, through performances,
conferences, demonstrations has proliferated in the world, has multiplied.
Snowhite, character from another world, propagates herself into
ours like a virus, invading a space, adapting it to her needs, and
quickly leaving it. Snowhite can be seen through a multitude of
different spaces and situations, in the city and in the country,
in an art gallery, alone in a ship or by the lot. Snowhite is never
quite the same or quite another. In this project, Catherine Bay
questions above all our relationship to images. The project was
conducted in Paris, at the Brownstone Foundation, the Cartier Foundation,
the Uovo Festival in Milan, the Kliazma Festival in Moscow, during
Rome's White Nights, at the Arsenic Theater in Lausanne, at Videodanse
in Beaubourg, at the Parc de la Villette during the Pelouse Festival.
International Meetings Paris/Berlin has invited Catherine Bay to
Podewill in Berlin and to Grande Halle de la Villette.
