The programming of the Rencontres
internationales Paris/Berlin is put together from a cross-section of different
spheres, genres and media, covering themes, questions, tone, and openness
to dialogue.
|
> The
film and video programming bring together short, medium and
full-length films, experimental movies, video art, documentaries,
animation films, on super 8, 16 mm, 35 mm and video. The Rencontres
Internationales Paris/Berlin present films by independent directors,
film school students, directors who are not working as part of any
institutional network, 'traditional' production films, as well as
films created by well known artists and directors who, by their
approach, commitment and research, participate actively in the development
of the visual arts.
|
|
> The
multimedia, interventions and installations, program includes
performance art, sound poetry, readings, live concerts with projections,
sound installations, video installations, multimedia installations,
online works, net art CDroms... The contribution of all of these
different languages is one of considerable importance. The simultaneous
presence of a range of different multimedia arts allows for the
film and video screenings to be resituated in a greater context,
one in which the visual arts are always in the process of becoming.
|
Daily debates bring together artists and directors, creative organizations
and distributors, opening up a space for meeting and reflecting with the
general public, in relation to the projection and exhibition spaces.
