Unconventional documentary about an elderly couple who have forgotten the meaning
of love, but live on in a ritual existence.
This documentary by Andreas Bolm gives us an opportunity to peer into the private
lives of Ildiko and Feri, in its most intimate details. Bolm shows everyday events
without any dramatising, focusing on the unity of picture and sound. Form and
substance look equal. The relationship of the old couple in question has become
a community without words, in which love only exists in memory. Day and night
are separated by the rituals of getting up and going back to bed again. A film
about the very core of human life... or its loneliness?
