Un équivalent sonique à l'intervalle entre la nuit et l'aube, une méditation sur la suspension rythmique du temps et du mouvement, sur la solitude et le confort. La psalmodie des mots est le liquide et le contenant, qui peuvent être les métaphores du corps et de l'âme. Ce moment est alors interrompu par ce monde accéléré et rendu fou par la technologie. "Tea" ist eine Meditation eines Augenblicks. Ein klangliches Äquivalent zum Intervall zwischen Nacht und Dämmerung, eine Meditation über die rhythmische Aufhebung von Zeit und Bewegung, über Einsamkeit, über Komfort. "Tea" is a meditation of a moment. A sonic equivalent to the interim between night and dawn, of rhythmic suspension of time and motion, of solitude, of ease. The chanting words are the liquid and the container, which can be a metaphor of the soul and the body. This moment is then interrupted of the accelerated, technology -drive-insane world. ___ Note biographique Yvonne Buchanan est illustratrice, animatrice, et artiste audio. Elle vit à Syracuse, à New York. Ses œuvres audio comprennent GlassHouse, Tea et Exultation. Sa vidéo "adrift" a récemment été projetée au Roxbury Film Festival de Boston. Ses travaux politiques éditoriaux ont été publiés dans de nombreux journaux, parmi lesquels le New York Times, Newsday, The Washington Post, Village Voice et The Nation. I am a visual and audio commentator and storyteller. I am interested in storytelling in the public arena. I am interested in the dialogue between audience and artist. Though all of my work has very specific subject matter I rejoice in having people bring their own personal and particular responses to my work.
