The proposal
of the Performance-Event "Virtual See Tower" should mark the beginning
of the Virtual Era, as an Eiffel Tower revealed the Industrial Era. The people
standing at the same place during the performance could experience the virtual
lifting from the public space to the highest possible point of the Virtual See
Tower that they will have a clear view of the town on the monitor installed
there as a personal touch. The balloon with the camera lift on the height to
see the town bringing a sense of connection with the Paris/Berlin city and a
mental openness from the weak point of the real urbain space. The temporary
intervention will explore the opportunity to create the communication place
and by means of installation of the Virtual See Tower a symbolic connection
to the city with its own icons (Eiffel Tower, Sacre-Coeur, Montparnasse Tower).
During the night the balloon as a screen will catch the video projection showing
the day overwiew and the faces of the people from the different countries interviewing
about their abstract DREAM. The goal of the project is to learn about the identity
of the town, and what people living there identify with.
Artistic strategy is to locate the space where the (symbolic) exchange between
the inhabitants takes place, than start the communication with the people engaged
in the exchange in this space, creating an event - intervention with their assistance.
In the space the temporary Virtual See Tower will be installed.
In the case if it would be windy day The See Tower will transform in the Virtual
Migration Tower, it seems to be also potential.
Project is dealing with the New Arenas of Revelation where the balance between
real urban space and virtual takes place.
