Eric PELLET Conversation dans la montagne Vidéo expérimentale - mini dv - couleur - 0:14:30 - France - 2000 En juillet 1959, le poète Paul Celan aurait pu rencontrer le philosophe Theodor W. Adorno dans las Alpes suisses, en Engadine. Le texte en prose que Celan écrivit suite à cela transpose de manière métaphorique ce dialogue entre deux Juifs. Avec la Shoah en arrière-fond, il constitue, comme l'œuvre d'une vie, la réponse de Celan à l'interdiction postulée par Adorno d'une possible création poétique après Auschwitz. L'enjeu de ce travail, effectué en vidéo, rejoint le rôle d'un certain cinéma, consistant à donner sens à un texte, à le montrer, à le "traduire" en lui donnant une nouvelle (tentative de) vie à l'image. Ceci n'et pas une illustration, une adaptation, mais une interprétation, une transposition. C'est en ce sens que l'on a inventé des images à partir d'un seul lieu, les îles du Frioul, au large de Marseille. Im Juli 1959 haette der Dichter Paul Celan den Philosophen Theodor W. Adorno in Engadine in den Schweizer Alpen treffen koennen. Der Prosatext, den Celan daraufhin schrieb, uebertraegt metaphorisch diese Begegnung auf einen Dialog zwischen zwei Juden. Mit der Shoa im Hintergrund, sucht er eine Antwort auf das Postulat Adornos, der eine Dichtung nach Auschwitz fuer unmoeglich erklaert. In July 1959, the poet Paul celan could have met the philosoph Theodor W. Adorno in the suiss mountains, in Engadine. The text wich followed this expected meeting is a transposition of a dialogue of two jewish people. With the Shoah behind, it looks like an answer, the Celan's answer to the forbidding of any poetic creation, demanded by Adorno, after Auschwitz. The point of this work, displayed in video, is part of a certain cinema which has the task to give sense to a text, to show it, to "translate" it, giving a new life with images. This is not an illustration, an adaptation, but an interpretation, a transposition. It is guided by this approach that we created images only with the help of one place, Frioul islands, facing Marseille. Biographie Eric Pellet est né en 1974. Il vit et travailleà Lyon. Durant cinq années à l'université Lumière Lyon II, il passe par les lettres modernes, la culture et la communication, l'histoire de l'art, la photographie, et ressort avec une maîtrise d'études cinématographiques et audiovisuelles. Il intègre pour deux ans ans l'école nationale des beaux-arts de Lyon et la quitte avec un diplôme national supérieur d'expression plastique en arts et médias. Il retourne à l'université passer un diplôme d'études appofondies en cinéma. Il travaille au centre Thomas More, centre culturel de rencontres de la Tourette. Eric Pellet is born in 1974. He lives and works in Lyon. For five years at the university Lumière Lyon II, his way went trough moderns, culture, communication, history of art, photography, and finally graduated in cinematographic field. He studied after for two years at l'école nationale des beaux-arts de Lyon and gratuated in expression of arts and medias. He went back to university to learn more about cinema. He is been working for The Thomas More centre, a meeting place at la Tourette.
