L'idée était de travailler avec la lumière et l'espace, et la sculpture dans l'esprit. C'était ainsi une manière de ne pas être influencé par une sensation tactile ou visuelle, ce qui est typique dans la sculpture classique. De cette façon, une histoire au sujet d'une vie différente, minutieusement déformée, même par la plus petite conception humaine a pu être créée. The project called "Light" was realized during the winter semester in 1999 as a free performance of experimental photography. The idea was to work with light and space with sculpting in mind and that way not to be influenced by any visual or tactile sensation, which would be typical for classical sculpting. This way a clear story about a different life, minutely distorted even by the slightest human conception, could have been created. Biographie Mikuláš Podprocký est né en 1978 à Košice, en Slovaquie. Il dessine depuis son enfance, et se consacre ensuite à la sculpture, dès ses 13 ans. En 1996, il est diplômé en sculpture de The Utility Arts High School de Košice. Il va ensuite à l'université Pavol Jozef Šafárik à Prešov, en arts. Il travaille alors comme restaurateur de la cathédrale Sainte Elizabeth. En 1997, il étudie à l'Académie des Arts de Banská Bystrica. Après 4 semestres, il rejoint le nouveau département, Faculty of Utility Arts, à la Technical University de Košice. Il est accepté au "free Creativity Studio" de Juraj Bartusz. "Mon travail est très proche de la conception de nature sauvage. C'est relié principalement à la conception de l'obscurité dans la nature et la vie sauvage, autant que les humains et leurs critères puissent les évaluer." Mikuláš Podprocký was born on 4th April 1978 in the city Košice in the Slovak republic. From my early age I have intensively dedicated myself to drawing and from my age of 13, when I got acquainted with sculpture, I have been occupying myself with it. In 1996 I graduated in the area of sculpting at the Utility Arts High school in Košice. From here I moved on to the University of Pavol Jozef Šafárik in Prešov which focused on creative arts. After one semester I finished my studies and I went to work as a restorer of the St. Elizabeth's Cathedral. In 1997 I entered the Academy of Arts in Banská Bystrica. After four semesters there I transfered to Košice to the newly opened Faculty of Utility Arts at the Technical University. Here I was accepted to the "Free Creativity Studio" of Juraj Bartusz where I have remained up to this day. My work is very closely related to the conception of wild nature. It is basically related to the conception of the obscurity of nature and of wildlife, as far as humans and their criterions are evaluating them.
