Madame T is an installation
that shall be called video piece.
... an installation that gathers in a same space a black and white drawing
on 330cm by 233cm serving as a scenery for text pined up on a wall and
to five speakers placed in the space and also to a color video screened
on a monitor.
Each of those constitutive elements bring a different point of view on
the same story.
The piece Madame T is created to be diffused by this process. It presents itself under the form of an
enigma that the viewer can solve via visuals hints that he can read or hear.
... A proposition set on the walker's path. It's created to catch his attention and
bring him to come closer.
The drawing, by its size, its details and complexity cause to be interested
by the bystander. The spatial setting of the sound track throws him at
the very heart of the story. Alice's letters, pined up on the wall give
him answers.
The film is a slow motion, a mien, a sight to things proximity that presents
colors and details of objects outlined in black on the drawing.
The confrontation of different forms and information levels permits to be
thrown in the intimacy of this story.
Then, after being interested then reassured, the bystander is slow down,
he will be able to play with crossovers and ubiquity that allows him this
process. He can also just wander to a more abstract vision, more rhythmic
vision of the montage of different elements and exceptional associations
that are its result.
... With actors performance, object scenery, background as an element
and illustration of that story, the video piece as nevertheless neither
a beginning or an end because it's looping some fifteen minutes. Viewers
are free to embrasse the piece by one sight, going through this space
or to stand by.
Madame T apartment as been digitally recreated via numerous photography and
all objects that fill up the room. The movie is a wandering within
the detailed image that is obtained. This is a kind of subjective visit to
look for hints on Alice Thoersen.
