DEADLINE : 15th OF AUGUST 2008
This date concern the date of your postal sending.
So, it is NOT necessary to send your proposal by express courier.
If you send your proposal after the last deadline, your proposal will be considered through our permanent call for entries, for the programming that will be shown in Madrid and Berlin in 2009.

Sending of the answers
The confirmation of the postal sending reception will be sent by email in September.
Answers to the Paris programming will be send in October.
Answers concerning the proposals sent after the 16th of August will be sent at the beginning of the year 2009.


Works proposed to the "Rencontres Internationales" must have been produced during the two years preceding the festival and must not have been previously publicly shown in Paris.
Please fill in one entry form per proposal.


1 > REQUIRED MATERIAL:
Please send all proposals by mail, enclose the completed entry form, signed and dated- at the rate of one entry form per proposal - and the material required.

For Film and video proposals, please send:
- A DVD or a VHS preview tape.
- A synopsis.
- A photograph, extracted from the proposed work (photo credit to be specified).
- The list of technical staff (director, script, image, sound, editing...).
- The list of interpreters, actors, participants. Please specify the main one.

For installation, intervention and happening proposals, please send:
- A visual documentation, video on DVD or on VHS tape or stills, of the proposed work or of previous works, for us to have a clear idea of the proposition or of the previous works.
- A presentation text on the proposed work.
- The list of technical material and map which can be needed during the installation.
- List of participants.
- A photograph of the proposed work - or related to it (photo credit to be specified).

FOR ANY PROPOSAL:
- No matter how many works you submit (whether you submit 1, 5... or 50 proposals), please enclose 5 French or German stamps for standard sending OR 5 international coupons for standard sending (please contact us if you have any problem to send them). If you work have been already shown by the Rencontres, then you must NOT enclose stamps nor coupons.
- List of eventual co-production, grant and support.
- A biography (drawing up text).
- Please send us any text and document you think is relevant: filmography, exhibitions, publications, a long synopsis, critical writings, other photographs...
All texts are typewritten, no texts or images on CDroms nor DVD, pictures can only be ink jet printed on regular paper).

2> PROPOSALS ARE FREE:
Proposals are free, without any limit on type, format, length. Any individual or organization can send one or several proposals to les Rencontres Internationales programming. The festival guarantees the privacy of all personal information.

 

3> SENDING PROPOSALS:
Any entry is sent by mail only.

Precise to the company: Delivery between 10.30am and 7pm.

IMPORTANT: remember to mark on all parcels: "DOCUMENT FOR TEMPORARY CULTURAL PURPOSE - WITHOUT COMMERCIAL VALUE".
All entries are dispatched under the responsibility of the participant. The festival is not liable in case of loss or theft.
For custom declaration, DO NOT declare values over 10 euros or 10 US dollars. The Rencontres will not pay for custom taxes.

4> PROGRAMMING:
The programming is decided by the festival's permanent staff. The answers to the programming will be sent by mail. Then individual contact will be made regarding the sending of film and video copies in their presentation format, the installations and interventions.

5> VIDEO LIBRARY:
The DVD and VHS videotapes received through the call for entries and programmed by the festival will be proposed on consultation in a video library during the festival. All DVD and VHS received through the call for entries will be included to the festival's archives.

6> INSURANCES:
Films, videos and installations will be insured by the festival for the entire duration that they are entrusted to the festival.
