"The future of festivals"
In the prolongation of the debate initiated by Lars Henrik Gass,
director of the Oberhausen International Short Film Festival (Germany),
and of the special feature published under his direction in collaboration
with the Film magazin Schnitt, the Cahiers du Cinéma España
presents this debate on the same theme, in partnership with the
Rencontres Internationales.
In the new audiovisual environment, how must traditional cinema
festivals recycle their contents? Which must be their function considering
the new forms of images consumption? Which bridges must be laid
between cinema and contemporary art?
