Traces, devices, indications, found and discovered, clues and hints referring to absentees - a compilation of excerpts from movies and feature films.
Volker Schreiner has been artist-in-residence in the Cité Internationale des Arts de Paris between 1988 and 1989. Since then, he has had lectureship in différentes school of art, including in 1993 Karlsruhe, between 1994 and 1998 HBK Braunschweig, in 2002-2003 in the Johannes-Gutenberg-Universitaet Mainz. Between 1998 and 1999, il was granted from the Deutsche Akademie to be artist-in-residence in the Villa Massimo in Rome. He has been part of several festivals and traveling exhibitions and his work is part of the collection of NBK Berlin, ZKM Karlsruhe, Ludwig Museum Cologne, Museum fuer Neue Kunst Karlsruhe, Amsterdam Film Museum.
